VIVAPUR® PECTIN added to the range

We have newly expanded our portfolio with high quality pectins from the joint venture of our long-term supply partner J. Rettenmaier & Söhne and the Italian pectin producer Silvateam. This line includes high and low methoxyl pectins as well as amidated pectins, which are obtained from the peels of selected citrus fruits.

Pectin is a versatile biopolymer that occurs as a structural component in the cell walls of plants. Pectin is traditionally used for producing jams and jellies. Due to its excellent gelling action, it is also used in other fruit preparations such as fruit bases for yoghurts, baking-stable fruit fillings, and dessert products. Furthermore, pectin improves protein stability in acidic drinks, and helps to im-prove mouthfeel and aroma release.
