AQUALGAE – a biological algal water
The AQUALGAE line of algal extracts from Lessonia is obtained in a gentle evaporation and condensation process from fresh algae. Unlike hydrolates, the water content is not added; it comes one hundred percent from the manually harvested algae. The algae are a by-product of another value chain on the coast of Brittany in France, and can be reused thanks to this upcycling process.
The biological “algal water” obtained in this way can replace the normally added water in cosmetic formulas, making it a perfect means for increasing the natural content of the formulation.
AQUALGAE are COSMOS certified and contain a natural origin content of 99.1% and an organic origin content of 99.1% pursuant to ISO 16128.
The algal waters are obtained from four different algae and stand out for the following characteristics:
- AQUALGAE Palmaria (INCI: Palmaria Palmata Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid)
Given its draining and rejuvenating properties, the algal extract AQUALGAE Palmaria is excellently suited to slimming cosmetic products.
- AQUALGAE Undaria (INCI: Undaria pinnatifida extract, Potassium sorbate, Sodium benzoate, citric acid.)
AQUALGAE Undaria is also known as Wakame, and is the ideal companion for sensitive and mature skin.
- AQUALGAE Ascophyllum (INCI: Ascophyllum nodosum extract, Potassium sorbate, Sodium benzoate, citric acid.)
The brown alga AQUALGAE Ascophyllum tightens the skin, making it a key raw material for slimming and anti-aging products.
- AQUALGAE Saccharina (INCI: Saccharina latissima extract, Potassium sorbate, Sodium benzoate, citric acid.)
AQUALGAE Saccharina is known in cosmetics for its cleansing properties and protects the skin, among other things, against pollutants from the environment and UV radiation.
