Combination lubricant – LOXIOL® G 72/1 will replace LOXIOL® G 72 on 1 January 2021

LOXIOL® G 72 is a well-established combination lubricant for hard PVC and, to a lesser extent, soft PVC. The additive provides efficient internal lubricating action and an excellent external release effect for various means of PVC processing, such as calender or extrusion.

LOXIOL® G 72/1 is an advancement on LOXIOL® G 72, and will supersede the existing product next year. The new combination lubricant possesses the same internal and external properties as its predecessor. In addition, LOXIOL® G72/1 surpasses it with the two following improvements:

• Minimal caking due to higher dropping point
• FDA CFR 21 and EU 10/2011 approval for contact with food

In the caking test, LOXIOL® G 72 and LOXIOL® G 72/1 were tested at 20–40 °C for their tendency towards undesirable caking. The photographic results are shown below, where it can be clearly seen that the new LOXIOL® G 72/1 tends towards less caking at all temperatures.
