Silsan HSB – The basis for modern, breathable facade coating systems

Silsan HSB serves as a co-binder in water-based, breathable silicone resin coating systems like paints and plasters. Silsan HSB is a water-dilutable, solvent-free silicone resin emulsion that, combined with suitable polymer dispersions, forms the binding system for the formulated paint or plaster, and is responsible for producing the typical silicone resin characteristics of the coating system.

The advantages of silicone resin paints and plasters over other water-based coating systems are:

• Outstanding water repellence at the same times as high water vapour and CO2 permeability
• Good weather and UV resistance compared to purely dispersion-based systems
• A naturally matte, microporous appearance, making it also excellent for indoors
• Low tendency to pick up dirt outdoors
• No special requirements for the substrate, making it also ideal for renovating coats
