Vegetable proteins are gaining in popularity among consumers. This is due to growing demands for sustainability and CO2 neutrality of foods and dietary supplements, as well as the trend towards renouncing animal products.

Soy and wheat proteins are increasingly being shunned for their aller-genic potential, among other considerations, and consumers have become critical of GMO and monoculture farming. In response to these demands, the Emsland Group has developed the pea proteins Empro® E 86 and Empro® E86 “High Viscosity”.

These versatile proteins stand apart from others for the following features:

  • 84–87% protein content
  • High glutamic acid, arginine and lysine content
  • Allergen-free
  • GMO-free
  • Gluten-free

Also available are innovative Pea Protein Crispies in various and larger shapes. Empro®Tex is excel-lently suitable for use in bars, snacks and breakfast products.
