Soluble dietary fibre brings many advantages: from a nutritional perspective, soluble fibres are valuable ingredients that physiologically support weight management and digestion, contribute to a healthy cholesterol level, and promote bone health.
Two well-known soluble fibres are inulin and oligofructose (fructooligosaccharide (FOS)). With the soluble corn fibre PROMITOR®, we can offer an alternative to these products, with outstanding qualities:
PROMITOR® is suitable for many applications:
PROMITOR® is an especially practical ingredient for sugar reduction projects. With an energy rating of 2.6 kcal/g and a sweetness of approx. 10% that of saccharose, it is the ideal ingredient for devel-oping sugar-reduced foods. As a filler, PROMITOR® lends products an ideal texture and mouthfeel. Claims such as “no added sugar” or “sugar-reduced” can be made.
Unlike inulin and FOS, which break down into fructose over time in acidic foods, PROMITOR® does not become hydrolyzed and maintains a constant fibre content.

The oat fibre PromOat®, obtained from Swedish oats, contains up to 35 % beta-glucan.
The dietary fibre psyllium is a soluble fibre obtained from the seed husks of Plantago ovata. The seeds of this plant are also variously known as “ispaghula”, “isabgol”, “flea” or simply “Plantago” seeds.
Characteristic for the insoluble cereal fibres of the JRS is the possibility of texturing, the high degree of extraction and the high fibre content and the possibility of water binding.
